Update from Coller Cyber Security
We have been made aware of fraudulent WhatsApp groups and electronic communications (often involving monetisation/cryptocurrency schemes or other purported ‘investment’ opportunities), as well as ‘copycat’ websites that appear to look like genuine Coller Capital websites but are in fact created by cyber criminals, exploiting our brand and in some cases impersonating senior figures at the firm. The purpose of these groups, communications and websites may be to promote questionable ‘investment’ ideas and/or to trick members of the public into parting ways with funds in the belief that they are making genuine investments.
These WhatsApp groups, electronic communications and websites are not legitimate. Coller Capital does not conduct business over WhatsApp or promote purported ‘investment’ opportunities through electronic communications. Do not act on any invitation to join such a WhatsApp group or on any such communication. If you have been invited to join any such group, please report the group to WhatsApp’s administrators.
